Dr. Nicole Pacheco was born and raised in the south Bay Area. She received her undergraduate education in biochemistry and molecular biology from UC Davis, graduating with honors. She continued on in the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine to receive her DVM, where she graduated with Phi Zeta honors. Dr. Pacheco then completed a rotating internship with intensive experiences in emergency medicine, internal medicine, surgery and general practice at PetCare Veterinary Hospital in Santa Rosa before moving back to the south Bay Area. She has since been practicing as a small animal emergency clinician, and is happy to be a part of the Silicon Valley Veterinary Specialists team.
She loves caring for her patients and making them comfortable in the hospital environment. Although she typically sees patients on an emergency basis, she really enjoys getting to know them and their families while helping them through their illness. Dr. Pacheco also enjoys working closely with the interns in her role as Internship Coordinator. Her professional interests include emergency and internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, ophthalmology, and the human animal bond.
She lives in San Jose with her son and husband, and loves being a new mom. They share their home with their adorable Mini Australian Shepherd, CJ, and their three gregarious cats, Massey, Ferguson, and Strudel. In her spare time, she enjoys backpacking, gardening, playing the piano, and spending time with their horses and goats. At Silicon Valley Veterinary Specialists, we are here when you need us.
